Picture-Line

About

Picture-Line is made by me, Kshitij Koranne, an independent developer in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Most of the photos I care about live in an album I almost never open. Meanwhile I spend a large part of every day looking at a computer screen. Picture-Line came from a simple wish: to see a few of those faces during the working day, the way you'd see prints pinned to a fridge door or drying on a line across a balcony.

So it had to feel like real paper and twine. The photos swing when you brush them, the clips are wooden, the captions look handwritten, and new photos come up slowly like instant film. Then it had to stay out of the way: it sits behind your windows, and when nothing is moving it stops drawing completely.

A few things matter to me in how it's made. Your photos stay on your Mac. There's no account and no tracking. You pay once, if you pay at all. And it should look after itself: lights at sunset, diyas at Diwali, a little confetti on a birthday.

KJR Labs is the name I publish my software under. If you have an idea for Picture-Line, or something isn't working, write to kjrlabs9@gmail.com or find me on X at @kshitijkoranne.
